Toyota Airbag Recall in Kenya
SHARE
  • Certain 2001–2017 Toyota Corolla, RAV4, Avensis, Hilux and Fortuner models have faulty airbags that could cause serious injuries or death to occupants.
  • CFAO Mobility Kenya offers free airbag replacement for affected Toyota vehicles, with the repair taking about three hours at its dealerships in Kenya.
  • Send a photo of your Toyota’s chassis number to CFAO Kenya on WhatsApp at +254748577347 to check recall eligibility and book a free airbag replacement.

CFAO Mobility Kenya is still carrying out an airbag safety campaign that covers certain Toyota models manufactured between 2001 and 2017, and they include: Toyota Corolla, RAV4, Avensis, Hilux, and Fortuner.

The mentioned Toyota models feature defective airbags that could lead to injuries, and in extreme cases, they could lead to vehicle occupants losing their lives.

According to CFAO, they have completed repairs to two-thirds of the vehicles affected in Kenya. CFAO Mobility urges customers affected by the recall campaign to take their vehicles to their nearest CFAO Mobility dealership, where checks will be carried out and the defective airbag replaced free of charge, with the replacement process taking just 3 hours.

For Customers concerned that their vehicle may be included in the safety recall campaign, CFAO Mobility Kenya published these steps:

Take a picture of the affected model’s chassis number. After that, send the picture to CFAO Mobility’s WhatsApp number, +254748577347. They will then check whether your vehicle is affected, and if it is found to be affected, they will book it in and change your airbag free of charge.

You can reach them on their social media channels on Facebook at CFAO Mobility Kenya, X at @CFAOMobilityKe, and on their website. Learn more about the CFAO airbag safety campaign here: Safety Alert: CFAO Mobility Offers Free Airbag Replacements for Specific Toyota Models.
