  • Kenya retains its iconic Safari Rally on the 2027 WRC calendar, with the event scheduled for March 18–21 as the championship’s third round.
  • The expanded 2027 WRC calendar includes a US return after 39 years, alongside rounds across Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.
  • Rallye Monte-Carlo opens the season on January 21–24, while Rally Saudi Arabia brings the championship to a close on November 25–28.

It’s now official that Kenya will host the 2027 WRC edition, retaining its iconic Safari Rally on the Events Calendar since its return in 2021.

The event will start in Monaco with Rallye Monte-Carlo from January 21 to 24. This will be followed by Rally Sweden, which will run from February 18 to 21, before the WRC returns home to Kenya from March 18 to 21.

Some rally routes will be absent from the 2027 WRC calendar, including the legendary Rally de Portugal. Croatia, the Canary Islands and Japan will host the next rounds of the event, providing three consecutive asphalt rounds before heading to the EKO Acropolis Rally in Greece, which will open the European summer gravel run. Round eight of the rally will include Italy’s asphalt counter in Rome. Estonia and Finland will run back-to-back before the WRC returns to America.

The WRC Calendar 2027 has expanded to include more countries, with America being included after a period of 39 years. Rally Britain will also return one round later with Rally Scotland before heading to South America for Paraguay and Chile. Rally Saudi Arabia will close the year, running from November 25 to 28.

According to Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the FIA president, the expanded calendar is the largest since 2008, when 15 rounds were scheduled, demonstrating the growing strength of the series.
