ARC Ride seems to be going on the Spiro way but on their own strategic mission. It’s almost a week now since Yadea signed a partnership agreement with Spiro to allow their e-mobility vehicles to use Spiro charging networks. ARC executives had the same mission too.
In a LinkedIn post published by the CEO of ARC Ride, Joseph Hurst-Croft, they are in China with their strategic partner Yadea, and they seem to be bringing something to Africa, especially in Kenya and its Kifaru Motorbike.
The Kifaru motorbike, co-developed by the two companies, will have the build of Yadea but will be powered by ARC Ride system which will allow them to be charged on ARC Ride networks across the country.
According to the CEO, it’s been 18 months since the start of their co-development and partnership, which he described as a strong foundation that will be sustainable for both companies and have long-term action and growth.
The post was backed up by another post by Tristan O’Brien, Chief Infrastructure Officer and COO at ARC Ride, who described the recent meeting with Yadea as an exciting new chapter to establish a joint venture and expand into new markets.
He highlighted it as a massive forward step for ARC Ride in their mission to make the company’s battery-swapping technology the leader in the Kenyan market and beyond, helping accelerate the transition to electric mobility and making it more accessible and smarter.
