Concours d’Elegance is a French-derived name which means a competition of elegance, and it is an event where prestigious vehicles are displayed and judged.
Kenya is lucky to be on the calendar, hosting the event alongside other countries such as the United States, India, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Italy, Canada, Hungary, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Germany, France, and Belgium.
The event is the only actively running one in Africa and, annually since 1971, it has been showcasing premium classic cars and motorcycles. The event in Kenya is organized by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club Kenya.
The 2026 African Concours d’Elegance will be a celebration of the 54th annual edition of the event. It will be held on Sunday, 27th September 2026, at Nairobi Racecourse and Golf Park (Ngong Road). The starting time will be at 9:00 AM.
At the event, you will expect to experience SportPesa unveiling the 2019 SportPesa Racing Point Formula One replica, the first team’s F1 show car to be unveiled in Africa. There is more to be shown, and you can’t miss the Classic Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce, vintage cars that are preserved from time, and connecting with other vintage and classic car lovers.
Mark the 27th as an already booked day and go visit, explore cars in the Auto Expo and Motor Sports Arcade, engage in family activities, and be entertained, as there will be a live entertainment session. It will be a ticketed event, so don’t miss out on grabbing yours.
