Things are moving fast into digital interfaces around the world. In Kenya, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) is working hard towards moving its services digitally. As of Wednesday, June 2026, NTSA has transitioned to the eLogbook after a hiatus time when the move was announced.

The eLogbook is a modern digital solution that’s designed to eliminate the physical paperwork or the long queues experienced when in need of the previous logbook services. The shift also aligns Kenya with global digital transport management solutions and also brings significant benefits to vehicle owners, who will have a secure and easily accessible electronic logbook that will be stored in the cloud.

Do you know how you will download your eLogbook. Here are a few steps to follow that will guide you till you download your eLogbook.

  • 1. Login to your NTSA account using your existing eCitizen credentials.
  • 2. Once you have logged in and you can access your dashboard on the homepage, you can view the list of your registered vehicles.
  • 3. Now you need to view the vehicle details by clicking the view button next to your specific vehicle.
  • 4. Access the menu and navigate to the Logbook menu tab.
  • 5. Click the “Download Logbook” button to view and save your eLogbook.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are the key benefits of the new eLogbook?

The eLogbook offers instant digital issuance, real-time ownership updates, and tamper-proof security through digital encryption. For loan takers who previously used their physical logbook and submitted it to the bank, now they have added advantages with seamless bank integration; they get faster loan approvals and it allows instant ownership transfers without visiting NTSA offices.

How can third parties verify my eLogbook?

The system includes a QR code for verification. Buyers, banks, and insurance companies can instantly verify the authenticity of your logbook by simply scanning the code, reducing fraud risk or schemes.

What should I do if I have trouble accessing the system?

If you experience issues while trying to access your eLogbook, you can reach the National Transport and Safety Authority support team via:

Mail at [email protected] are officials’ social media handles like X (@ntsa_Kenya) or Facebook (@NTSAKENYA).You can also visit the nearest NTSA offices for instant and better services.

NTSA’s digital transition represents a big leap forward in making vehicle management simple for Kenyans. You need to ensure your account details are updated to take full advantage of the new services.
